Peggy Nelson, 75, of Webster City formerly of Manson died Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Private family services will be held with Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Manson.
Peggy Lila Gross, daughter of Ivle and Colleen (Hanson) Gross, was born January 25, 1949 in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1967. On January 18, 1968 Peggy was united in marriage to James H. Nelson in Fort Dodge. She was a homemaker. Peggy moved to Webster City in 2016.
She is survived by her children, Kristi Zwiefel of Webster City, Mark Nelson of Des Moines, Julie Johnson (Brad Hesse) of Urbandale; grandchildren, Brandon (Sarah) Zwiefel, Megan (Brady) Brott, Lily Johnson; great grandchildren, Tucker Zwiefel and Knox Brott; brother, brother, Joe (Shirley) Gross of Fort Dodge and sister, Susie Derrig of Fort Dodge.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jim; her parents, Ivle and Colleen; and sister, LuAnn Gross.
She was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church in Manson. Peggy enjoyed cooking, camping, boating and wintering with her husband in Texas.
