Nancy Vinchattle
December 31, 1969 — July 21, 2024
Nancy Vinchattle, 75, of Stratford passed away Sunday July 21, 2024 at Stratford Specialty Care in Stratford, IA. Per her wishes, she was cremated. Please join the family Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 4pm - 6pm at the Stratford City Park to share memories with her family and friends. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with serving her family.
Nancy Jean Vinchattle was born July 12, 1949 to Elmer and Lucille (Johnston) Kelley. She was raised on a farm between Stratford and Stanhope and remained in the Stratford area most of her life. Nancy grew up riding horses with her siblings. She taught herself to dance using a rope tied to a doorknob. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. She loved her dogs and going coon hunting, even though she didn’t like the dark and the noises. Nancy worked different jobs over the years, retiring from Gates in Boone. She loved her boys and treated all their friends as her own. One of Nancy’s favorite things to do was sit and visit with her friends and family for hours.
She is survived by her sons, Cole (Lori) Vinchattle and Tau Vinchattle; grandchildren, Clancy Vinchattle (Daniel Williams), Harlie (Dustin) Bauer, Thayne Vinchattle (Shelby Mcculloch), Ty Vinchattle, and Austyn Vinchattle; great granddaughter, Bailee Vinchattle and Baby Bauer due in September along with many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Cody Vinchattle; brothers, Elmer Ray and Fred Kelley and sister, Ethel Clausen.
