Morris Hassebrock, 72, of Webster City died Monday, January 17, 2022, at Mary Greeley
Medical Center in Ames. Burial will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Morris Lee Hassebrock, son of Ervin and Etta (Van Langen) Hassebrock, was born January 7,
1950 in Webster City. He graduated from Northeast Hamilton. He attended Iowa Central
Community College. On January 23, 1972, he married Connie Cordes. They had three children
and later divorced. He served in the Army National Guard for 24 years. On February 26,1996
Morris was united in marriage to Donna Zajieck in Las Vegas, NV. He worked many years in
quality control for Electrolux.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Donna of Webster City; children, Matt Hassebrock of New
Orleans, LA, Melanie (Mike) Frisk of Ames, Ben (Stephanie) Hassebrock or Philadelphia, PA,
Michael (Jill) Gemmel of Denver, CO, Landon (Susan) Gemmel of West Des Moines; four
grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several fur-babies; sister, Vivian (John) Wurch of
Webster City; brother, Lewis (Sharon) Hassebrock of Webster City; sister-in-law, Annalea
Hassebrock of Jewell and Pat (Bob) Froman or Albert Lea, MN.
In addition to his parents, Morris was preceded in death by his brother, Kendall Hassebrock and
sister-in-law, Vicky Haroldson.
He was a member of the Community Church of Kamrar
Medical Center in Ames. Burial will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
