Maye Whitson Wahman

Maye Whitson Wahman, 99, of Webster City died Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Southfield Wellness Community. A private graveside service will be held later this spring. Foster Funeral and Cremation is entrusted with the services.
Maye Jenetta Olson, daughter of Seven and Mabel (Rude) Olson, was born August 30, 1922 in Laverne, Iowa. She attended country schools. On August 4, 1943 she was united in marriage to Robert Whitson. To this union three sons were born, Bruce, Craig, and Mark. On February 12, 1987 in a country church close to Hardy, Maye was united in marriage to Lyle Wahman. They made their home in Stratford and enjoyed dancing and traveling.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce Whitson of West Des Moines and Mark Whitson of Dayton; grandchildren, Brett, Becky, Jonna, Joa, Joel; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brennon, Hunter, Gunner Grayson, Dylan, Austin, Alissa, Augustus, Lane and sister, Madlyn Olson of Council Bluffs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert and Lyle; son, Craig Whitson; daughter-in-law, Barb Whitson; siblings, Orlando, Luella, Cornelia, Viola, Velma, Rachel and Joyce.
Maye was a member of the Stratford Lutheran Church.
