Marlene Witzke, 83, of Webster City died Friday, July 25, 2025 at Southfield Wellness Community. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Marlene Nadine Cole, daughter of Lloyd “Ben” and Georgia Nadine Adams Cole, was born June 13, 1942 in Webster City. She attended school in Pine River, Minnesota. On December 31, 1976, Marlene was united in marriage to Eugene Witzke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. Over the years, she babysat, worked for various businesses - Hayne Printing, Freeman Journal, K&M Dry Cleaners, Crestview Nursing Home, Southfield Nursing Home, and Opportunity Village.

She is survived by her husband Gene of 48 years; son, Jim (Tammy) Witzke of Bondurant; daughter, Brenda Hanlin of Webster City; grandchildren, Robert (Heather) Hanlin of Bode, Kasey (Dave Bond) Reisdorf of Jackson, MN, Michelle (Drew) Smith of Bondurant, Jessica Messamer of Bondurant; great-grandchildren, Madi, Motley, Elim, Daniel, Alexander, Casey, Sawyer, Elliott, Piper, Charlie, Callum; brother, Richard (Shanna) Cole of California; brother-in-law, Merlyn (Naomi) Witzke of Macedon, NY and many nieces and nephews.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Bill Spencer; sisters, Karen (Noble) Overum, LaVonne (Robert) Reed, Joanne (Bud) Brekke and sister-in-law, Lucille Witzke.

She enjoyed bowling, camping, reading books, bingo and loved to pick on people. She was very quick with funny come backs. Marlene loved her family and will be missed by many.
