Marjorie Nass, 97, of Webster City died Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Windsor Manor. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2026 at Asbury United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
Marjorie Mae Moles, daughter of Emmett and Pearl (Wankel) Moles, was born October 12, 1928 in Shenandoah, Iowa. She graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1946 and Simpson College in Indianola. Marjorie went on to complete her graduate work from Colorado State College of Education in Greeley, Colorado. On August 11, 1957, she was united in marriage to Martin Edwin Nass at the First United Methodist Church in Shenandoah. She was a High School English teacher in Jewell and Atlantic, before coming to Webster City. Marjorie was the owner of the Book Nook, taught piano lessons and was the bookkeeper for Webster City Daycare.
She is survived by her son, Brian (Ronda) Nass of Rochester, MN; daughters, Miriam (Scott) Carlson of Stanhope, Mara (Bryan) Moll of Clive; five grandchildren; six great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; grandson, Connor James Moll; her parents, Emmett and Pearl Moles and her brothers, Charles “Everett” Moles, Kenneth Moles, Clifford Moles and Francis Moles.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and P.E.O. Chapter JE for 50 years.
She will be remembered for her kind, compassionate spirit and her gift of caregiving, and for sharing her love of music with her children. We will think of her fondly every time we drink a mocha or gather around a campfire.
