Mario Ysaiz

Mario Ysaiz Jr., 72, of Jewell died Saturday, August 22, 2026 at his home. No services are scheduled at this time. His cremains will be taken to Eagle Pass, Texas to be interred next to family. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is caring for Mario and his family.

Mario Ysaiz Jr., son of Mario and Carmen Ysaiz Sr., was born June 3, 1954 in Eagle Pass, Texas. He attended school in Eagle Pass. On November 24, 1979, Mario was united in marriage to Vicki Lynn Hanson in Stanhope. The couple resided in Stanhope and Jewell. He worked for Tasler Pallet for 30 years. Mario enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Vicki of Jewell; son, Cody Ysaiz of Jewell; daughters, Macie (Jordan Semler) Ysaiz of Ankeny, Tasha (Trevor McCoy) Ysaiz of Webster City; two grandchildren, Alaia and Easton; sisters, Margie and Lupe Ysaiz both of Eagle Pass, Texas.

Mario was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Charlie Mello, Ogla Ferguson, Ben Mello, Frank Mello, Susie Ysaiz and Oscar Mello.
