Mary Louise Bernard, 101, of Webster City, died Wednesday, January 19th at Crestview Senior Living. A funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 22nd at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Reverend Stephen Meyer officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family requests memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Marie Louise Baudot Bernard, the daughter of Jean Baptiste Baudot and Marie Louise Albert Baudot, was born Septermber 23, 1909 in Fallisole, Belgium. She earned a Masters Degree in Foreign Languages from the University of Kansas at Lawrence, Kansas. On August 23, 1941, she married Frederick H. Bernard at Webster City. Mrs. Bernard taught French and Spanish in Illinois. She taught French at Webster City's Lincoln High School and Iowa Central Community College for a total of 14 years. The couple resided and farmed north of Webster City. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick H. Bernard on July 26, 2003. She is survived by daughters and son-in-laws, Marina and James Naden, Paulette and Micheal Treu; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Jennifer Bernard; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church
