Lois Lappin, 71, of Webster City died Friday, September 1, 2023 at Unity Point-St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A private family service will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Lois Ann Lappin, daughter of Robert and Monica (Newville) Palmer, was born August 2, 1952 in Mankato, MN. She graduated in 1970 from Worthington High School in Worthington, MN. On July 14, 1973 Lois was united in marriage to Frank Lappin at the First Baptist Church in Webster City. Before her retirement, she worked for B&B Café, Wilson Hotel and was self-employed for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Frank; daughter, Michelle (Ryan) Casady of Webster City; son, Bret (Amanda) of Ankeny; step-daughter, Monique (Bobby) Deal of Darnell, AR; grandchildren, Maddie, Josh and Katie Casady, Ella and Walker Lappin; siblings, Robert (Sue) Palmer, Karlene (Art) Koch, Debbie Tams, Mary (Forest) Nelson, Diane (Terry) Rogers, Ellen Noble, Marilyn (Doug) Frisch, Jim (Carlene) Palmer, Peggy (Kenton) Meiers, Barbara (Rich) Nelson; brother-in-law, Roger Lappin of Santa Ana, CA and many extended family members.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Lori Palmer and brother-in-law, Jerry Tams.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, crafts and sewing. Most importantly she loved being a mom and grandma.
