Leroy Baldwin

LeRoy Baldwin, 84, of Robins, died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Manor Care Health Services in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will follow the services at Saratoga Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. LeRoy George Baldwin was born February 22, 1932, in Hennepin County, MN, the son of Irwin and Mamie Olson Baldwin. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. LeRoy was in the Naval Reserve serving in VP-813. On December 5, 1959, he married Ruby Paulsen in Minneapolis, MN. He worked as an electrical engineer at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids. LeRoy is survived by his wife, Ruby of Webster City; sons, Frank (Elaine) Baldwin of Madrid, Bill (Susan) Baldwin of Webster City; grandchildren, Austin, Jennifer, Logan, Tanner, Kyra and Irwin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson in infancy, Jordan. He enjoyed operating his Ham Radio and driving antique cars. LeRoy was a member of the A.A.C.A. (Antique Automobile Club of America), Q.C.W.A. (Quarter Century Wireless Association) and the A.R.R.L. (American Radio Relay League).
