Kong Vangkham

Kong Vangkham, 86, of Webster City died Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service.

Kong Vangkham, daughter of Nanvang and Kham Vangkham, was born April 11, 1939 in Ban Phoneching, Sayabury, Laos. She married Kantha Vangkham in Laos. She came to the United States with her family in 1987. She was a supermom raising her kids and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Chanhphang Vangkham of Laos, Somboon Vangkham, Lord Phiwthong, Bee Vangkham, Chanh Vangkham, and Ricky Vangkham all of Webster City; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers, Souk Vangkham of Fresno, CA and Phat Wangkham of Des Moines.

Kong was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kantha; daughter, Mai Vangkham, Bod Vangkham son, Chon Wangkham; Daeng Vangkham; brothers, See Vangkham, Thanh Vangkham, Phut Vangkham, Khio Vanhkham and sisters, Home Vangkham, Khien Khaleet.
