Kenneth Rebhuhn, 85, of Webster City, died Monday, December 7, 2015 at Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Eichler, officiating. Burial will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center and one hour prior to the service at the church. Kenneth George Rebhuhn was born April 22, 1930 near Laurens, IA, the son of Gus and Katie DeWall Rebhuhn. He graduated as a salutatorian from Silver Lake Township high school, Aryshire, IA in 1948. He joined the Army in 1952. He was sent to Korea and spent two Christmases there. His company took care of North Korean POWs and helped with their repatriation. He returned home and worked on his uncle's farm. On November 6, 1955 he married Lorna Panbecker. They made their home in Webster City. He worked at several factory jobs and Nissen Packing Company. He served as trustee at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and as Cub Scout Master. Kenneth and Lorna were blessed with four children, Mark (Barbara Jean) Rebhuhn, Sheryl (Roger) Greufe, Carolyn Rebhuhn-Sykes and Dennis Rebhuhn; four grandchildren, Michelle (Nick) Greufe-Kulcyzcki, Melanie Greufe, Carrie Rebhuhn and David Rebhuhn; and a sister, Jeannette (Donald) Mummert. Kenneth loved his family and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed remodeling their home, camping, fishing, canoeing, traveling, playing cribbage and walking the Brewer Creek Trail. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clarence; sisters, Doreen Pitchers, Marie Janssen, and Marge Sundberg. The family gives thanks for all the blessings showered down on Kenneth during his lifetime.
