Kenneth Charles Quick and his identical twin brother, Keith Graham Quick, were born June 22, 1919 on a farm near Ithaca, Nebraska to Emil and Sarah Maud Rowell Quick. Kenny died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, with Pastor Patrick Wiedemier officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 191. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and prior to the service on Saturday at the church. He served in the U.S. Army - 232nd Air Corps. Following his discharge, he married Thelma Nevada Whitehead, November 28, 1945 at Amarillo, TX. The couple returned to Nebraska. They moved to Webster City in 1946. He had been employed with Peoples Natural Gas for 40 years, retiring in 1982. Kenny is survived by his wife, Thelma; sons and daughters-in-law, K. Michael and Jan Quick of Tucson, AZ; Steven and Audrey Quick of Topeka, KS; Donna and Jim Downs of Webster City; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eunice Quick of Valentine, NE; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earl, Roy, Cecil and Keith Quick; sisters, Eloise Spech and Pauline Miller. Kenny was a member of the First Baptist Church, former member of Acacia Masonic Lodge # 176 - A.F. and A.M. and former member of American Legion Post # 191. He had a great love for fishing with his family and friends, and enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife and their friends. He loved to entertain his guests with a wonderful fish fry.
