Kaylahni Smith

Kaylahni Smith, a radiant light in our lives, was born on November 9, 2024, in Clarion, Iowa. With her vivacious spirit and infectious smile, she quickly became known as a fun-loving and happy baby, bringing joy to everyone around her from her very first moments. Sadly, Kaylahni unexpectedly passed away on July 16, 2025, in Webster City, Iowa, leaving behind memories that will forever be cherished.

Kaylahni is lovingly remembered by her devoted family. She is survived by her mother, Gloria Thongsy and her father, Cardeair Smith. Her brothers, Kenneth, Kingston, and Kenji, will forever hold their precious memories of her close. Kaylahni is also survived by aunts Misty and Salena Thongsy and Ashley and Ashshonti Smith, grandmas Daeng Thongsy and Annette Smith, grandpa Boun Khamjoi and step-grandpa Vanxay Teso. They take comfort in knowing that Kaylahni shares an eternal bond with her dear sister, Kaiyah, who has preceded her in death. Along with aunts Tanya and Sandy, Grandpa Walter, cousins Dj and Devonte, and great uncles Thong and Sy.

The family will gather to celebrate Kaylahni’s life during visitation on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center. This will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together, sharing their love and memories of a beautiful girl whose little life gleamed with vibrant joy.

Though her time among us was all too brief, the love she brought into the world will resonate within our hearts forever.
