Kathy Dickinson

Kathy Dickinson, 79, of Webster City, died Monday, August 31, 2026, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on September 25 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. A private family burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on September 24 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center.

Kathy (Chambers) Dickinson, daughter of John and Alice (Kennedy) Chambers, was born February 8, 1947, in Webster City. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1965 and attended Iowa Central Community College of Business. On October 26, 1968, Kathy was united in marriage to Arlin L. Dickinson at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She had worked at Franklin (Electrolux), Schlotfeldt Engineering, Midland Financial, First State Bank, as a manager at Casey’s, MyMedMart, and Farm Journal, retiring in 2023.

She is survived by her spouse of 57 years, Arlin of Webster City; children, Adam (Teresa) Dickinson of Webster City, Theresa Dickinson of Bradenton, Florida, and AJ (Molly) Dickinson of Humboldt; grandchildren, Nicholas (Alex) Erritt, Alexander Dickinson, Carri Scott, Jovanny Scott, Taylor (Casey) Scott, Darbie Dickinson, and Daxton Dickinson; great-grandchildren, Clayton, Vaida, Roman, and a new baby expected in February 2027; siblings, Patrick (Sandy) Chambers of Webster City, Maureen (Don) Seamonds of Webster City, Joe (Shelley) Chambers of Davenport, Mick (Angie) Chambers of Webster City, Bridget (Bryan) Chambers-Gilbert of Webster City, Margaret (Rob) Chambers of Champaign, Illinois, and Drs. Thomas (Susan) Chambers of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Linda Roy of Jewell; brother-in-law, Bruce Dickinson of California; and many nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother in infancy, John Michael Chambers.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Kathy enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, bird watching, and one of her treasured memories was traveling to the homeland of Ireland with her sisters and a couple brothers. In the summer, you could find Kathy sitting on the dock, or boating with an occasional margarita in hand. She also loved the beach at Anna Marie Island. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also known as “the weather spokesman for Lake Cornelia.”
