Kathleen Zoe Foster, age 88, died at Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City on Friday, December 17, 2010. She is survived by her four children, Karen Moenck, Chris Foster, Paul Foster, and Caroline Shapter; four grandchildren, Jennifer Feige, Nicholas Foster, Evelyn and Linnea Shapter; and two great grandchildren, Max and Tate Feige. Born on July 24, 1922 in Webster City to Helma and George Mertz, Kathleen, called Peggy by friends and family, graduated from Webster City Junior College where she then went on to fulfill her lifelong dream of working for the FBI. She moved to Washington D.C. at the age of 19 and worked at the FBI for four years during WWII. She then moved to Los Angeles to work in the FBI's California Bureau. Peggy was called back to Webster City, when she married James Rodney Foster, son of Evelyn and Arch Foster. They were married for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by James. A funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Mike Kroona officiating. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery.
