Karen Strunk

Karen Strunk, 73, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, formerly of Webster City, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at the Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Mark Eichler, officiating. Following the services burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, south of Lehigh. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Karen Joan Elsberry was born September 3, 1941, in Boone, the daughter of Orville and Jennie Layton Elsberry. She attended school in Boone. On June 26, 1961, she married LeRoy "Sam" Strunk in Blue Earth, Minnesota. The couple resided in Webster City. She owned the café in Highview for 13 years. She also worked for the Webster City School District until the couple retired to Bella Vista in August of 2000. Sam preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by her children, Ken and Wendi Strunk of Webster City, Keith and Misty Strunk of Sturgis, KY, Kimberly and Dan Supple of Bella Vista AR; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Strunk of Fort Dodge and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dean, Norman and Gary Elsberry; sisters, Lola Elsberry, Sylvia Strom and Nancy Weiner. Karen enjoyed gardening, bird watching, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
