Judith Woods, 82, of Webster City passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Van Diest Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Jean Morse, officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at a later date at Graceland Cemetery. Foster Funeral and Cremation is entrusted with the services.
Judith Ann Stuart, daughter of Darrell and Marjorie (Baker) Stuart, was born July 17, 1941 in Hamilton County. She graduated from Lincoln High in 1959. Judith was united in marriage to Darrell J. Johnson in Webster City on February 1, 1959. To this union, two children were born. The couple divorced in 1976. For many years, Judith worked for Hahne Printing as a graphic artist. In the summer of 1978, Judy moved to Las Vegas where she continued her graphic design career. On December 11, 1982, she married Russel “Woody” Woods in Henderson, NV. After Woody’s passing, Judy moved back to Webster City in the fall of 2009.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Doug) Nelson of Webster City; son, Bradley Johnson of Webster City; grandchildren, Grant (Jennifer) Nelson, Lauren (Luke) DeVries, Dallas (Jordan) Spann, Garrett Johnson; seven great-grandchildren, Corbin, Olivia, Carver, Emma, Jax, Rebecca, Isla; sister, Diana (Tom) Hill of Webster City; brother, Jimmy McCollough of Stanhope; sisters, Marsha (Paul) Mangini of Discovery Bay, CA, Cindy (Rich) Callaghan of Pollock Pines, CA and many extended family members.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Woody; parents, Marjorie and James McCollough, Darrell and Louise Stuart; mother-in-law, Oretta Woods; sister in infancy, Marilyn McCollough; and sister-in-law, Jeanie McCollough.
She enjoyed painting, knitting, and caring for her puppies. She loved family get-togethers where she could see her grandkids and great grandkids. While in Nevada she devoted her time and volunteered at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children in Boulder City. After moving back to Webster City, she loved working at Hy-Vee as a demo food representative until 2020.
