John Randall, age 56, of Yankton, SD died unexpectedly Friday, January 25, 2008, at Atalissa, IA where he was working for Midwest Carthage. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the Kostel Funeral Chapel, Yankton, with Rev. Paul Opsahl officiating. Visitations will be one hour prior to the service at the Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, SD. Services will continue at Webster City, IA with a visitation from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at Foster Funeral Home in Webster City. Burial of the cremated remains will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Ft. Dodge, IA. Pallbearers will be Darin Fuhrer, Dave Fuhrer, Kelly Gale, Gregg Price, and Don Hopkins. John was born to Roy and Ruby (Claude) Randall on May 29th 1951. He grew up in Webster City, IA. He graduated from Lincoln High School, Webster City in 1969. Shortly thereafter he joined the Army and served for 6 years. Upon discharge from the service he started working as a truck driver, which became his passion. He came to South Dakota in 1997 when he went to work for Marquardt Trucking. John also had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. John is survived by his wife Jean Randall (Hysell) of Yankton. Brother, Melvin Randall, Sister Martha Hargrave (Ronald) brother Gary (Phyllis) Randall all from Webster City, IA. John will be greatly missed by many other extended family members and friends.
