Jessalie Froh, 86, of Humboldt, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Humboldt Care Center North. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Webster City, with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery at Havelock. Visitation will be at the church after 8:30 a.m. Friday. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Jessalie Ione Harmon, daughter of Luther and Iva Smith Harmon, was born November 15, 1923 at Rolfe, Iowa. She graduated from Rolfe High School in 1941. On March 7, 1943, she married Frederick Ernest Froh at Mallard, Iowa. The couple farmed at Havelock for 7 years, then one year at LuVerne. They also had resided at Havelock, Fort Dodge and moved to Duncombe in 1965. She had been employed in produce work, Woolworth's and in restaurant work retiring in 1980. She had resided at the Humboldt Care Center North Since November of 2005. Mr. Froh died January 29, 2006. Mrs. Froh is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Wendy Froh of Dakota City; Kenneth Froh of Webster City; daughters, Virginia Mahn of Ankeny; Jean Tomlinson of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church; American Legion Auxiliary as past president and past district officer.
