Jerry Dockstader, 65, of Webster City died Sunday, March 12, 2023 at MercyOne in Des Moines. A Remembrance Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with visitation at 1:00 p.m. until the service. A private family burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery at a later date.
Jerry Duaine Dockstader, son of Jerry and Wanda (McKim) Dockstader, was born October 1, 1957 in Corydon, Indiana. He was educated at Webster City community schools. Jerry taught at SW Technical College in Marshall, MN. He worked as a supervisor in the mailroom for the Daily Freeman Journal for many years prior to his retirement. He was an outdoorsman, and his favorite adventure was traveling on his motorcycle to 48 states. He also enjoyed ATV riding, fishing and camping with friends and family.
He is survived by his siblings, Jay Scott Dockstader of Boone, Douglas (Bridgette) Dockstader of Gilbert, Eric (Tonishia) Dockstader of Rowley, Sonya (Kevin) Hook of Fairmont, MN; nephews, Brian Dockstader, Keenan Pals; nieces, Emersyn Dockstader, Kayara Pals; goddaughter, Nicole Donner and many extended family members. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
