Irene Boeke-Lumley

Irene Boeke Lumley of Webster City, died on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Southfield Wellness Community. Private services will be held at a later date. Irene Solyst Boeke was born January 29, 1920 in Story County, the daughter of Olaf and Malinda (Nelson) Solyst. She graduated from AIB (American Institute of Business) in Des Moines. She worked for two years as a bookkeeper for Heaton's Floor Covering in Ames before joining the Ames Real Estate Center until her retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Boeke of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Theresa Mathes of Austin, TX, Bruce Kingfield of Phoenix, AZ, Latissa Miecke of Tulsa, OK, and Malinda Kingfield of San Antonio, TX; five great-grandchildren, Kelsey Miecke, Jordan Miecke, Bryan Mathes, Anthony Kingfield and Aiden Murray. Irene was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and traveled to Norway on several occasions. She loved her work in real estate. Irene enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family.
