Harriett Lundquist

Harriett L. Lundquist, 94, of Webster City, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Crestview Senior Living. A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at the South Marion Cemetery, south of Stratford. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Harriett Louise Peterson daughter of Edward and Hilma Peterson was born on January 3, 1917 in Stratford, Iowa. She received her education from the Stratford Community School, graduating in 1934. Harriett also attended A.I.B. for 1 year. On August 19, 1938 she married Eldred R. Lundquist in Stratford. The couple farmed 2 miles southwest of Stanhope for over 60 years. In 2001, they moved to Crestview Senior Living Apartments in Webster City. They had wintered at Casa Grande, Arizona for the past 20 years. Mr. Lundquist died on March 20, 2008. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Harlan and Debbie Lundquist of Webster City; grandsons, Andrew (Wendy) Lundquist of Stanhope; Scott (Alyssa) Lundquist of McCallsburg; and her great grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor, Madisen, Andrew, Masen, and Maia Lundquist. In addition to her husband Eldred, she was preceded in death by her twin sons, Roger and Robert Lundquist and her daughter, Elizabeth Lundquist. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be given in memory of Harriett to the Stanhope Library Fund.
