Harold Christian

Harold Christian, 86, of Webster City, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. A private family service will be held at a later date. Harold Thurston Christian, son of Carl and Sallie Christian Bellamy, was born January 7, 1930 at Bartley, West Virginia. He received his education in Bradshaw, West Virginia. Harold served in the United States Marine Corp from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict. He married Raedean Ione Wilson on March 7, 1959 in Elk Point, South Dakota. The couple resided in Webster City. He had been employed at Arrow-Acme until his retirement in 1994. Raedean preceded him in death on January 18, 1999. He is survived by his children, Duane Christian and Donna Wittmaack, both of Webster City; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Carroll (Leo) Lanctot of Webster City; Linda Coon of Lakewood, CO; sister-in-law, Fran Bellamy; and many extended family. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Douglas Christian; Ken Bellamy and Carl Bellamy, Jr. in infancy. He was a member of American Legion and a past member of the Moose Lodge Family Center and the Oddfellows.
