Harold “Brownie” Brown, 78, of Webster City died on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Southfield Wellness Community. Due to the state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will be having a public memorial service at a later date. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the arrangements.
Harold Eugene Brown, son of Elston and Mildred (Bingham) Brown, was born August 1, 1941 in Iowa Falls. He was the oldest of three children and lived on a farm north of Webster City. Harold graduated in 1959 from Lincoln High School in Webster City. He married Joan Elaine King on September 4, 1966 at Asbury United Methodist Church. To this union they had a daughter, Candy. Brownie started working at Electrolux in 1960 where he worked for 43 years, retiring in 2004.
He loved his family as well as hunting and fishing with his friends. Brownie was a member of the Moose Lodge # 735 and Pheasants Forever.
Brownie is survived by his wife, Joan of 53 years; daughter, Candy (Jason) Steuerwald; granddaughter, Sierra all of Webster City; sisters, Karen (Peter) Day of Webster City, Sharon (Leland) Fisher of Des Moines; sisters-in-law, Janet Wilke of Winona, MN and Jill Comara of Woolstock.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; grandson, Alex Steuerwald and brother-in-law, Robert Wilke.
