Georgia Ullrich-Mccrea

Georgia Ullrich-McCrea, 63 of Blairsburg died Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Israel Hospice House in Ames. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024 at the funeral home.
Georgia, daughter of Ivan and DoraMae (Coop) Ullrich, was born March 29, 1961 in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Saydel High School in 1979 and continued her education at DMACC in licensed practical nursing, graduating in 1989. Georgia worked various management positions over the years but her time spent at AMF Masters Lanes in Augusta, GA and Flying J in Williams, IA were the two she most enjoyed.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynette (Richard) McCrea-EnTin of Blairsburg; granddaughter, Hannahlynne McLennan; father, Ivan Ullrich of Des Moines; sister, Pam (Chuck) Polke of Elkhart; brother, Bill Doyle of Ankeny and Hannahlynne’s adopted father, Chuck McLennan and her cat, Tinkerbell.
Georgia was preceded in death by her mother, DoraMae Ullrich; grandparents, George and Lela Coop and Marvin and Minnie Ullrich and Hannahlynne’s adopted mother, Annette McLennan.
She was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Des Moines. Georgia loved watching races and Georgia Bulldog football, playing Hand & Foot cards with her family, and playing video games with her son-in-law. She especially enjoyed seeing her daughter work for Smith Concessions and Smith Amusements and helping them whenever she could.
