Everett "Abe" Vinsant, 58, of Webster City, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Rev. Craig Blaufuss officiating. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fosters. Everett Russell Vinsant, son of Everett and Betty Klausen Vinsant was born on June 15, 1952 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He received his education from the Fort Dodge Community Schools. On January 2, 1975 he married Donna Schoettmer. The couple resided in Webster City where he had worked for over 31 years at Electrolux Home Products most recently as the groundskeeper. Survivors include his wife Donna of Webster City; daughter, Bobby Jo Martin of Story City; son, Chad (Anne) Vinsant of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Colby, Reece, Emma Martin and step granddaughter Malayna Martin; brothers, Jack (Soonja) Vinsant of Magalia, CA; Dennis (Brenda) Vinsant of Sacramento, CA; sister, Deborah (Jim) Harvey of Fort Dodge; sister-in-law, Kathy Vinsant of Fort Dodge; mother-in-law, Violet Schoettmer of Webster City; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Cliff (Mary) Schoettmer of Peoria, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Abe was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry Vinsant; son-in-law, Mike Martin and brother-in-law, Jim Schoettmer. He was a member of the U.A.W.
