Eugene Pochyla

Eugene Pochyla, 89, of Webster City, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Duncombe with military rites. Eugene Pochyla was born on March 6, 1927 in Trenton, NJ, the son of Andrew and Mary Pochyla. He graduated from school in Trenton. He served his country in the United States Navy. Eugene received the Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Medal during World War II. He married Florence Helen Artim on September 5, 1953 in Bristol, PA. Eugene is survived by his wife, Florence; son, Eugene J. "Butch" Pochyla; cousin, Michael (Mary Jane) Kudla.
