Donna Vinsant, 65, of Webster City Died Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Paula J. Baber Hospice Home
in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will start at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
Donna Violet Schoettmer, daughter of Frederick and Violet (Buffinton) Schoettmer was born May 18,
1957 in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge high school in 1975. On January 2, 1975, Donna was united in marriage to Everett “Abe” Vinsant in South Dakota. The couple resided in Webster City Iowa and raised their two children. Donna worked for Electrolux for 32 years and when the plant closed, she went to work at Vantec until she retired in 2017. She was a past member of the W.C. Cruisers and the UAW Local #442.
She is survived by her daughter, Bobby Jo Martin of Story City; son, Chad (Anne) Vinsant of Omaha,
NE; grandchildren, Colby, Reece, and Emma Martin; Step-granddaughter, Malayna Martin; brother, Cliff Schoettmer of Estero, FL; sister-in-law Deb (Jim) Harvey of Fort Dodge; sisters-in-law Kathy Vinsant of Webster City, Soonja Vinsant of San Francisco, CA; brother-in-law, Dennis (Sherri) Vinsant of Sacramento, CA, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Donna was proceeded in death by her husband, Abe Vinsant in 2010; son-in-law, Mike Martin; her
parents, Frederick, and Violet Schoettmer; brother, Jim Schoettmer; sisters-in-law, Mary Schoettmer,
Brenda Vinsant and brothers-in-law, Jack Vinsant and Jerry Vinsant.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to her children.
