Denise Haglund, 60, of Webster City died Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at UnityPoint-Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 9th at the funeral home.
Denise Diane Bakker, daughter of Mennie and Edna Mae (Tjarks) Bakker, was born March 6, 1966 in Iowa Falls. She graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1984. On August 6, 1983, Denise was united in marriage to Mark Haglund at Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls. She worked for the Webster City utility office.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mark; daughters, Janelle (Brandon) Chaplin of Iowa Falls, Melissa (Chris Clair) Haglund of Webster City, Callie (Cody) Beach of Le Grand; grandchildren, Chloe (Dylan), Kenley, Kayne, Ayla, Delaney, Kelanie, Brielya, Tayah; sisters, Anna Marie Adams of Fort Dodge, Valerie (David) Schaefer of Clear Lake; brother, Lynn Bakker of Tucson, AZ; father-in-law, Charles Haglund of Webster City; brother-in-law, Jon Haglund of Goldfield and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Denise is preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Leona Haglund; brothers, Greg Bakker and John Scherbon and brother-in-law, David Adams.
Denise was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and the heart of her family. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to attend their activities and cheer them on. She found joy in traveling, camping, and taking in the beauty of the autumn leaves. Denise shared a special bond with her daughters, who were not only her family but also her best friends. She was also very close to her co-workers and treasured the friendships she made throughout the years. Her love for her family, her generous spirit, and the memories she created with those around her will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
