Darlene Lindsey, 81, of Webster City, died Monday, March 21, 2011 at Mary Greeley Medical Center at Ames. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with Revs. Mike Kroona and Tony Ede, officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Darlene Mae McNally, daughter of William and Onalee Smith McNally, was born on a farm near Homer on July 6, 1929. She received her education in the Webster City school system, graduating from Lincoln High in 1947. After graduation, she was employed by Dr. Galloway for a short time, until his retirement. On June 26, 1948, she married Everett (Junior) Lindsey at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. In 1948, she started working at the ASCS office. She retired in July 1984, in the capacity of County Executive Director. She continued to reside in Webster City. Junior died 1992. Darlene is survived by a niece, and her husband, Diane Yeager and Bruce Dreblow of Excelsior, MN; two nephews and wives, Doug and Jean Yeager of Forest City; Kevin and Pam Yeager of Peru, IN; 6 great nieces and great nephews and 8 great-great nieces and great-great-nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon Yeager. Darlene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ruth Circle. She was a former member of the Webster City Country Club, Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary and a R.S.V.P. volunteer. She also served on the Hamilton County ASCS board.
