Craig “Easy” Severson, 73, of Webster City died Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Mary Greeley Medical Center after a 7 month battle with lung cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Washington Lutheran Church in Duncombe, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Following the service, burial will be held at the Washington Lutheran Cemetery, south of Duncombe.
Craig Leonard Severson, son of Leonard and Audrey (Fredricks) Severson, was born January 15, 1952 in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1970. On September 25, 1976, Craig was united in marriage to Marsha Christian at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. The couple later divorced. Craig was a truck driver for many companies prior to retirement.
He is survived by his children, Shanda (Steve) Hjelmeland of Webster City, Amos Severson of Webster City, Shey (Andrew) Wagner of Winterset; eight grandchildren, Dawson, Dayne, Ava, Riley, Jojo, Preston, Leo and Abel; brother, Mark “Peewee” (George) Severson of Webster City; sister, Becky Curtis of Glenwood; nephew, Ben (Nahe) Honig of Glenwood and several other family members and friends.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Cliff Curtis.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NHRA drag races, tractor pulls and traveling with his family.
