Clyde E. Hoover, 89, of Webster City, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City. Mr. Hoover's wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services at the present time. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral & Cremation Center. Clyde Eugene Hoover son of Judson and Hazel Rader Hoover was born on March 20, 1921 in Webster City, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from Webster City Lincoln High School. On January 20, 1940 Clyde married Sylvia May Wilcox in Webster City. Clyde farmed in the Hamilton County area until the couple retired and moved into Webster City. Mrs. Hoover died November 24, 2008. Survivors include his son, Lon (Marcia) Hoover of Bend, OR; grandchildren, Mindy Brown of Denver, CO; Mike Brown of Ames and fiancé Danielle Brady of Minneapolis, MN; Kent Hoover and Jennifer Harper both of Kansas City, MO; and great grandson, Christopher Harper also of Kansas City. In addition to his wife Sylvia, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Brown; grandson, Kirk E. Hoover and sister, Roberta Golden. Clyde was a member of the Church Of Christ and a former member of the CSP Club. The family requests no flowers and memorials may be directed to the Church of Christ or a charity of your choice.
