Clair Bentley, 83, of Duncombe died Friday, January 17, 2025 at Windsor Manor in Webster City. Burial will be in the Washington Township Cemetery in Duncombe at a later time. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is caring for Clair and his family.
Clair Adelbert Bentley, son of Ellwood and Thelma (Heidick) Bentley, was born March 26, 1941 in Webster City. He graduated from Lincoln High School. Clair served in the United States Army from Oct. 17, 1962 – Oct. 15, 1965. On September 4, 1966, Clair was united in marriage to Mary Ruth Orr in Duncombe. He was employed as the appliance manager with Kmart for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary of Duncombe; his sister, Virginia (Fred) Nulle of Webster City; nieces and nephews, Illene West, Brenda Fortune, John West, Larry West and Gary West.
Clair was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ellwood Bentley Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Johnny West and nephew, Brad Nulle.
