Cheryl Denise Menninga was born to Janice (Steenhoek) and Kenneth Menninga on December 9, 1955 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Pella, Iowa. Cheryl loved taking them to the swimming pool, Dolliver Park, for picnics and hikes and an annual trip to Adventureland.

She is survived by her son, Christopher (Teri) Burney; daughter, Jamie (Don) Johnson; son, Jason (Britne) Burney all of Webster City; grandchildren, Dirk Johnson, Megan (Kyle) Hilgeford, Blake (Sarah) Johnson, Natalie Johnson, Jayde Bertran, MacKenzie Burney, Carson Bertran, Brandon Burney, Christopher (Kamia) Jennings, Justin (Karli) Berte, Tori Berte and Maggie Berte; great-grandchildren, Kamie Rae, Weston and Elijah; mother, Janice Lamson of Greenville, NC; brothers, Randy (Linda) Menninga of Des Moines, Mark (Cher) Menninga of Des Moines; sister, Connie (Tom Geisler) of Dubuque; brothers, Chad (Cari) Lamson of Raleigh, NC, Brad (Angie) Lamson of Greenville, NC and many nieces and nephews.
