Charlene Roach

Charlene Roach, 87, of Jewell died Thursday, May 15th, 2025, at her home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28th, 2025 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
Lois Charlene Roach, daughter of Clarence Theodore Whisler and Francis Gamble Whisler, was born February 27th, 1938, in Shenandoah, Iowa. She graduated from Shenandoah high school in 1957 and then Iowa Methodist School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1960. On August 28th, 1960, Charlene was united in marriage to Ronald Ray Roach in Shenandoah. The couple moved to the Jewell area in 1998 where she taught special education for South Hamilton Schools until her retirement in 2013.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald; children, Jeff (Mary Jo) Roach of Otho, Brett (Julie) Roach of St Charles, MO, Kurt (Lisa) Roach of Smithville, MO, Kristin Collins (Sean) of Kansas City, MO; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents.
Charlene was a nurse, a loving care giver for her family as well as helping special needs children. She enjoyed bowling, bridge with her friends, crafts as well as being part of the community.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Charlene’s memory to Blank Children’s Hospital.
