Carol Hamilton, 89, of Webster City and formerly of Williams, died Monday, October 5, 2026, at Windsor Manor, leaving a legacy of love for her family and service to her community. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2026, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. Visitation will be held at the church one hour before the service. Private burial will be at Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. Foster Funeral & Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for the Hamilton family.

Carol Jean Mulford, daughter of Walter “Tim” and Juanita (Catlin) Mulford, was born December 9, 1936, in Alden. She graduated from Alden High School in 1954 and attended Gale Institute in Minneapolis. On June 10, 1956, she married Merle Edwin Hamilton at the United Methodist Church in Alden.

Carol is survived by her five children, Patrick (Dorothy) Hamilton of Hampstead, N.C., Kim Schaa of Webster City, Kathy (Tim) Anderson of Urbandale, Krisanne (John) Jordan of San Francisco, CA, and Andrew Hamilton (Sophie Phillips) of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Margaret Ellingson and Elizabeth Olson, both of Iowa Falls, and Arlene Hamilton of Des Moines; brother-in-law James Johnson of Riverside, CA; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle; her parents, Walter and Juanita; mother-in-law, Luany Hamilton; son-in-law, Randy Schaa; daughter-in-law, Rita Hamilton; sisters, Donna Summers and Dorothy Johnson; and brothers-in-law Robert Hamilton, William Hamilton, Larry Hamilton, Eddie Ellingson and Marlyn Olson and sisters-in-law Audria Hamilton and Eileen Hamilton.

Carol was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City and a former member of the United Methodist Church in Williams. A talented seamstress, she also enjoyed cooking and music. She served as a 4-H leader and was a longtime member of the Williams Women’s Club and the Hamilton County CowBelles. Among her greatest joys were cheering on her children and grandchildren in sports and rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
