Bruce Dean Rholl of Woolstock, Iowa, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, after declining health. He was hospitalized at UnityPoint Health - Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa, at the time of his passing. He had been struggling with health issues for several years.

Bruce was born March 31, 1951 to Harold and Loraine (Larick) Rholl at Hamilton County Hospital and grew up in Woolstock. where his family resided. He attended Woolstock Elementary Grade School for grades kindergarten through sixth grade, Robert Blue Junior High School in Eagle Grove, and graduated from Eagle Grove High School with the Class of 1969. After high school he attended Iowa Central College in Eagle Grove for 1 year then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.

After his college experience he was employed with the family business, Park Electric, in Webster City. He later was offered the opportunity to work at the Farmers Cooperative Elevator assisting in the office. While being employed at the elevator, he had the offer to buy a building & business that he renamed LL's which became his full-time employment. He was also active in Woolstock government for many years as a council member and as mayor. which was his full-time job in retirement.

During his school years Bruce was a good athlete playing football, basketball and baseball and lettering in all three sports as a sophomore, junior and senior. He then went on to college level playing baseball only to have to give it up for injuries. He was offered the opportunity to assist the coaching staff of Eagle Grove High School with football, baseball and softball and became varsity baseball coach, a position he had for many years. This was his dream job to be working with kids who want to love sports as much as he did. He was so proud of his players and their accomplishments as athletes and considered them his "kids."

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother Dennis Rholl. He is survived by his sister Jody Neary (Patrick), nieces Tami Ambrose, Anne Neary (Matthew Sheahan), nephews Jeff Rholl, Brad Rholl, Andy Neary (Amy Cloute), grand-nieces Amanda Rholl, Maddisen Rholl, Molly Sheahan, grand-nephews Christian Rholl, Brandon Rholl (Lyndsey), Dustin Rholl (April McClintok), Carter Rholl (Hannah), Hank Ambrose, Abe Ambrose, Connor Olson, and great-great nephews Jace Jones, Huck Rholl, Axyl Rholl, Braxton Rholl, Ridge Rholl, sister-in-law Sharon Adams and dear friend Beth Hilpipre.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Bruce on Saturday, November 29, at Foster Funeral & Cremation Center, 800 Willson Avenue, Webster City. The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. followed by a service at 2:30 p.m. The celebration will continue at the Woolstock Community Center following the service.
