Barbara Widick

Barb Widick, 74, of Webster City died Friday, July 31, 2026 at Mercy One Hospital in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Barbara Karoline Frost, daughter of Harry and Magdelena (Breitiner) Frost, was born April 30, 1952 in Germany. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1970 and attended Iowa Central Community College. On June 4, 1971, Barb was united in marriage to Jerry Widick at the Calvary Methodist Church in Stratford. The couple resided in Webster City. Barb was the bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Widick Roofing and Construction for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerry; daughters, Karla Widick of Webster City, Amy (Greg) Widick of Sioux City; grandchildren, Jacob, Dakota, Avery, Jackson, Ben and Gage; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Nathaniel; siblings, JoAnn (Todd) Darling of Webster City, Lisa (Charlie) Scarlett of Maxwell, Gerlad (Linda) Frost of Stratford and several nieces and nephews.

Barb was preceded in death by her daughter, Kari Widick; her parents, Harry and Magdelena; in-laws, Clinton and Alice Widick and stepbrother, Carl Heinzi.
