Amy Kennedy, 51, of Jewell died Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Israel Hospice Home in Ames. A Celebration of Life held by her family will take place at a later date. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for Amy and her family.
Amy Lynn Quinby, daughter of Jeff and Donna (Collins) Quinby, was born October 29, 1973 in Iowa City. She graduated from Lake Mills high school in 1992. She was married to Robert Tincher in 1996, the couple later divorced. In 2008, Amy was united in marriage to Mark Kennedy in Webster City. She was an in-home daycare provider. Amy loved to be with her family, her daycare kids and her dog, Cedric. She enjoyed camping, fishing, drinking coffee, journaling and watching the races.
She is survived by her husband, Mark of Webster City; children, Chris (Fran) Elsberry of Zearing, Skyler Tincher of Jewell, Dereck (Samantha) Tincher of Webster City, Brianna Tincher of Jewell; stepchildren, Elizabeth Kennedy of Ames, Steven (Danae) Kennedy of Vincent; 14 grandchildren; father, Jeff Quinby of Floyd and brothers, James Quinby of Thompson, Brian Quinby of Minnesota and Zach Quinby of Floyd.
Amy was preceded in death by her mother, Donna.
