Alice Lucille Larson daughter of Gustaf Adolph and Beulah Ann Louthan Larson was born on February 18, 1920 in the Freemont Township of Hamilton County, Iowa. She received her education from rural schools and graduated from Webster City Lincoln High School in 1937. On March 24, 1940 she married Clifford Blair Myers at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. The couple farmed southwest of Webster City in the Homer area until their retirement in 1975, at which time they moved to Webster City. Mr. Myers died on August 2, 2004. Survivors include her daughter Sharon Van Doren of Highlands Ranch, CO; son, Darle (Peggy) Myers of Lehigh; grandchildren, Steven (Kelli) Van Doren of Columbia, MO; Thomas (Leigh Anne) Van Doren of Fredericksburg, VA; Matthew (Sara) Van Doren of Southbury, CN; Dan (Michelle) Myers of Webster City; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Arline (Warren) Snell of Webster City; Evelyn Larson of Ft. Myers, FL; and 6 nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Clifford, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Michael and Mindy Myers; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mary Larson; her parents; brother-in-law, Kenneth Larson and son-in-law, Jim Van Doren. Mrs. Myers was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she remained active within various church circles. She was also a member of the P.E.O. in Webster City. Her hobbies included gardening, china painting and painting her husband Cliff's carvings. Memorials may be given in her memory, to the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City.
