Obituary for Virginia E Neubauer Berg

Virginia “Ginger” Neubauer Berg, 89, of Webster City died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 of natural causes at Windsor Manor. Private family services will be held with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Virginia Eleanor Cooper, daughter of Marion and Eldora Fouts Cooper, was born January 23, 1931 in Council Bluffs. She graduated in 1948 from Council Bluffs Schools. Ginger was united in marriage to Delroy Neubauer on July 3, 1949. To this union six children were born. The couple later divorced. On December 22, 2001, she was united in marriage to Donald Berg. Ginger enjoyed volunteering as a Grandparent helper for Fort Dodge school and was a past Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by her husband, Don Berg of Webster City; children, Steven Neubauer of Fresno, CA, Gina (Dennis) Nilles of Webster City, Tony (Jan) Neubauer of Long Lane, MO, Terry Neubauer of Webster City, Mark (Meg) Neubauer of Crystal, MN; 12 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Ginger is preceded in death by her infant son, David Neubauer; her parents; two grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth Cooper, Margaret Arch, Nadine Brock, Dick Cooper, Donald Cooper, Jean Stromquist, Eula Jensen, Dorothy Walker and Alice Daugherty.
She was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church in Blairsburg. Ginger enjoyed playing base guitar and singing in the country band – The Gindels, attending sporting events for her children. She loved teaching her grandchildren golfing, fishing, swimming and water skiing. She had a love for traveling, cooking, gardening, reading and dancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family’s discretion.
