Obituary for Stefani Menage
Stefani Menage of Webster City, 65, died Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at her home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. Burial to follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.
Stefani Lynne Hanson, daughter of Harlan and Karin (Brower) Hanson, was born January 25, 1956 in Waterloo Iowa. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1974, and Utah State University in 1981 with a degree in Environmental Studies. She was united in marriage to Brian Menage in 2015.
Stefani moved to Utah to attend Utah State University. After graduation, she worked at Morton Thiokol, in Ogden, Utah, which supported work on the space shuttle program. She then moved to California and started working as a Hazardous waste specialist, working for companies all over the country. She also spent several years working for Kirkwood Community College, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a Safety Trainer for Firemen and crisis teams all over the country.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; her parents, Harlan and Karin Hanson of Webster City, brother Eric (Shelley) Hanson of Webster City, sister Honey Sue Heater of Marion, niece Katy (Nate) Anderson of North Liberty, nephews Nate Heater of Cedar Rapids, Aidan Hanson of Webster City, and great-nephew Connor Heater and great-niece Zoey Anderson.
Brothers-in-law Tim (Karen) Menage of Rock Island, John (Sue) Menage of Vanhorn, and nieces and nephews’ in-law Olivia, Alexander, Sarah and many extended family.
She is preceded in death by her Grandparents Pete & Hattie Hanson, and Dwight & Mildred Brower, many aunts and uncles, and cousins.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a lover of nature, including gardening and plants and animals. In her youth she played the piano, was a member of 4-H, loved the outdoors, including hiking, canoeing, loved to cook and bake, and loved being an Aunt!
She was feisty and fearless, and loved anything edgy and unique. She was an adventurer. And had a huge love for life, family, and friends!
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Webster City Veterinary Clinic.
