Shirley Keeling Spradling , age 86 of Williams, IA, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, IA. Shirley Jean Wiltse was born on August 2, 1935, to parents Myron and Florence Wiltse in rural Charles City. She was raised by her grandparents in the Nashua, IA, area where she attended school.

On September 13, 1992, Shirley married JC Spradling in Bakersfield, CA. After JC passed away in 2004, Shirley moved back to Iowa to be closer to her family.
Shirley was a hands-on mother who loved organizing events for her children and the rest of the neighborhood. She was involved in PTA, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and endless crafting events. Later in life she was an Avon consultant and worked as a caregiver at a boarding home. Shirley loved being a grandmother and was known as Granny Goose. She always had her camera ready and has too many scrapbooks to count packed full of precious memories. Shirley was also known as the “card lady” ….always sending handmade cards to everyone for every occasion/holiday.
Shirley’s faith in God was deep and she was not afraid to let that be known. She led a bible study group for several years. She was also a cat lover and almost always had one as a pet by her side. Shirley will be so missed by all who loved and knew her.
