Obituary for Sherri Olson

Sherri Olson, 55, of Williams passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, January 16, 2023. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Northeast Hamilton School Gym in Blairsburg. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for Sherri and her family.
Sherri Lynn Olson, daughter of Richard and Janet (Potts) Green, was born November 14, 1967 in Fort Dodge. She attended Webster City High School. On July 27, 1986, Sherri was united in marriage to Thomas D. Olson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. She was a cook for the Northeast Hamilton Community School district for 28 years, where she enjoyed all “her Kids” and loved decorating the cafeteria for the holidays. She enjoyed garage sales, camping and her 4-legged fur babies, Hank and Lucy. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Tom of Williams; children, Jason Olson of Charter Oak, Jennifer (Nicholas) Nolte of Ankeny; Brittney (James) Gibson of Williams, Sarah (Mason) Gilbert of Kamrar; grandchildren, Aliyah, Seline, Karsen, Damien, Brynlee, Sophia, Brayden, Dillon, and Wyatt; siblings, Mindy Green of Webster City and children Kaylee, Derek, Kirsten and Gavin, Shawn (Mark) Behnke of Virginia Beach, VA and son Brandon, Lanny Green of Duncombe, Michael (Sharon) Roberts of Marion and children Dennis and Heather, Kimberly Chambers of Fort Dodge and children Joshua, Jeffrey “Bubba” and Angela, Michelle (Doug) Ober of Humboldt and children Burke, Jerred, Chris and Nathan, Richard Green of Royal and children Tabitha and Blaze, Candy (Gary) Day of Boone and children Jamie, Amy, Mary and Amber; mother, Janet Green of Webster City; mother-in-law, Jane Olson of Webster City; sisters-in-law, Cindy (Terry) Wierson of Radcliff, Jody (John) Nation of Ames and brother-in-law, Daniel (Julie) Olson of Ellsworth.
Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Richard Green; father-in-law, Donald Olson; grandparents, Harry and Esther Green and great-niece, Remington Wagner.
