Obituary for Scott Nieman

Scott Nieman, 57, of Kamrar passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side Wednesday, December 22, 2021, following a yearlong battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Community Church of Kamrar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Scott Douglas Nieman, son of Elmer John and Mavis Irene (Irvin) Nieman, was born April 26, 1964, in Forest City, Iowa. He graduated from Northeast Hamilton in 1982. He served in the United States Air Force for 3½ years as an Avionic Navigation Systems Specialist stationed at Bergstrom AFB. On August 16, 1997, Scott was united in marriage to Daisy Ravenscraft at the Methodist church in Kamrar. For the last 13 years he has been employed with Hagie in Clarion.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy of Kamrar; son, Patrick Nieman of Ames; siblings, Jane Binder of Forest City, Cynthia Hinjosa of San Diego, CA, Terry (Robert) Wagner of Mason City; Barbara Van Hoosen of Russellville, MO, and James (Deb) George of Muscatine.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of Community Church of Kamrar. Scott enjoyed fishing, camping, and golf outings with Haggie. The best times were time spent with his son and family.
