Obituary for Randy Youngdale

Randy Youngdale, 72 of Webster City died Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in
Rochester, MN. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the Webster City Links Golf Course followed by a time of fellowship. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Randal Kenneth Youngdale, son of Kenneth and Bonnie (Lambert) Youngdale, was born June 10, 1950
in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1968 and attended Iowa Central
Community College. He enlisted in the United States Airforce, serving from 1969 to 1973. On June 18,
1972, Randy was united in marriage to Reta Kay Meyers in Webster City. He was the co-owner of
Webster City Roofing, the Trashman and TMI. Randy enjoyed his time working for the transportation
department at Webster City Schools. He especially loved driving the Suburban with his group of
kids. Randy spent many years as the groundskeeper for the Webster City Links golf course, but anyone
who knew Randy understood his true passion was to help anyone, with anything, at any time. He was a
past member of the First Baptist Church, the Webster City Running Club, and the Webster City Wrestling
Boosters. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #191 and the Founding Father of
RAGBRAI Team Cobra. His hobbies included caring for his many animals and fishing up North, where he
was a proud member of Team Bone Fish.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Reta; son, Ryan (Kim) Youngdale of Clive; daughter, Regan (Eric)
Dawson of Webster City; fur baby, Ozzie; grandchildren, Krista Youngdale, Clay Youngdale, Kayla
(Connor) Glenn, Kali (James) Van Diest, Kamry (Caleb Olson) Dawson; great-grandsons, Cyrus, and Nico
Glenn, Lux Van Diest; sister, Julie (Jim) Hoag of St. Paul, MN; sisters-in-law, Carla Youngdale of Webster
City, Alys Kehoe of Webster City, Dawn (Juan) Trujillo of Webster City, Mickey Rudolph of San Diego, CA;
stepmother, Jean Youngdale of Webster City and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and
friends.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Youngdale, and Bonnie Youngdale; parents-in-
law, Don, and Leah Meyers; brothers, Duane, Doug and nephew, Troy Youngdale.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Randy’s memory to the American Legion Post #191.
