Obituary for Randy L Hilpipre
Randy Hilpipre, 69, of Woolstock, IA died on Monday, March 7, 2022, at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in the French Cemetery, east of Woolstock.
Randy Lee Hilpipre, son of Howard “Shorty” and Dorothy (Smith) Hilpipre, was born March 12, 1952, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1970. On October 22, 1971, Randy was united in marriage to Beth Marie Chapman in Clarion, IA. Randy worked for many years as a refined fuel salesman for Woolstock Farmers Co-op and United Co-op, retiring in 2018.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beth of Woolstock; daughters, Rhonda (Tom) Maier of Nevada, IA, Jodi (Gabe) Rodriguez of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Makali Mickelson, Cody Mickelson, Tate Maier, Nate Maier; sister, Bonnie (Melvin) Seehase of Sumner, IA and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas Hilpipre, Leo Hilpipre, and Rodney Hilpipre.
Randy was a member of the United Methodist Church in Woolstock, served over 20 years on the Woolstock City Council, a volunteer firefighter for the Woolstock Fire Department, and member of the Woolstock Wild Bunch. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gambling, but the best times were spent with family and friends where he often provided the best BBQ meat you could ever eat.
