Marvin Gilbert, 66, of Webster City died Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at his home. No services are scheduled at this time. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for his family.
Marvin Dale Gilbert, son of Margaret and Charles Gilbert, was born September 19, 1956 in Burlington, Iowa. He attended school in Leon. Marvin served in the United States Army. On March 6, 1981, he was united in marriage to LeLanie L. Butler in Webster City. Starvin Marvin worked various jobs in the Webster City area – Gerber Auto, Tasler Pallet, Beam Industries, and P & P Electric. He collected neon signs for his garage and loved to spend time with friends and family enjoying a Busch Light or a Bloody Mary. Some of the most precious times were spent with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, LeLanie of Webster City; daughter, Leah (Jon) Bair of Moorland; son; Mason (Sarah) Gilbert of Kamrar; grandchildren, Hailey and Lydia Bair, Dylan and Wyatt Gilbert; brother, Charles “Keith” Gilbert of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Cheryl (Kenny)Fasano of West Palm Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Crystal (Dick) Griffith of Webster City and several extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Peggy Bingham; brothers-in-law, Virgil Butler and Vincent Butler.
