Obituary for Martha M McIntire

Martha McIntire, 91, of Webster City died Saturday, August 27, 2022 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2022 at Faith United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 P.M. prior to the funeral at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.
Martha Mae Jones, daughter of Floyd and Edith (McDonald) Jones, was born May 27, 1931 along with her twin sister, Mary Lou, on the family farm 5 miles north of Jewell. She attended school in Jewell. Martha worked on the family farm with her parents and siblings. On June 10, 1961, she was united in marriage to Gene M. McIntire in Rock Island, IL. Martha was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and was involved with the Faith circle. She enjoyed spending time with family, crossword puzzles, word searches, putting together puzzle for framing, oil painting and visiting Floyd in Florida to collect seashells on the beach. Martha made beautiful needlepoint that she graciously shared with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Mae McIntire of Webster City, Floyd McIntire of Lehigh Acres, FL, Loren McIntire and Loretta Harbert both of Webster City; grandchildren, Jaci, Brittany, Megan, Taylor, Ashley, Kayla; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Karstin, Brianna; sister-in-law, Darlene Jones of California and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Gene in 1974; daughter-in-law, Deana McIntire; son-in-law, William “Bill” Harbert; her parents; twin sister, Mary Lou Fisher; sister, Leota Eittreim and brothers, Ketih Jones and Carroll Jones.
